Court rejects Azma Bokhari plea for recording statement through video link

Lahore: Sessions Court Lahore has dismissed Punjab information minister Azma Bokhari plea for recording statement through video link in fake video case against Falak Javed.

Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Ali Siddiqui announced the decision. Azma Bokhari has registered case against Falak Javed in NCCIA.

The petition said Azma Bokhari is provincial minister and she is facing life threat. Firing incident occur in courts on a day or other. Judicial magistrate announced the decision against the facts. Court should accept the plea for recording statement through video link and nullify the decision of judicial magistrate.

Mian Ali Ishfaq counsel for Falak Javed told Azma Bokhari is plaintiff in the case therefore, she should record her statement by appearing in the court. Court should order to dismiss the her plea .

The court maintained Azma Bokhari should appear in the court on next hearing to record her statement.

The court upheld judicial magistrate decision.

Azma Bokhari had challenged the court's decision for her to appear in the court in person and record her statement.
