Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected bail plea of the accused declaring it non -maintainable in the case of selling 1200 kilogram dead chicken.
Justice Ghulam Sarwar Nihung remarked it is a mafia who is playing with the lives of people. Police provides protection to such cruel people and does not conduct timely investigation in such cases. Therefore the accused take advantage of it.
Justice Ghulam Sarwar Nihung took up for hearing bail plea of accused Tanvir Masih. Imran Arif Ranjha advocate appeared on behalf of Punjab Food Authority (PFA) and opposed bail plea.
During the hearing of the case Justice Ghulam Sarwar Nihung remarked it is a mafia which is playing with the lives of people. Police protects such cruel people and does not conduct timely investigation in such cases. Due to it the accused benefit from it.
Justice Ghulam Sarwar Nihung remarked such accused persons cannot be left for committing heinous crimes in society by giving them relief. It is responsibility of investigation officers to complete investigation in such cases on priority basis without further delay.
The counsel for the accused took the plea Food Authority had conducted raid 8 months before and arrested accused Tanvir Masih. However Balochni Police Faisalabad have not completed investigation so far.
The accused requested the court for releasing him on bail. The court rejected it by declaring it non maintainable.
