Courts will hear voice of children from now onwards: Justice Mansoor Ali Shah

Islamabad: Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of Supreme Court (SC) has said the courts will hear the voices of children from now onwards." Children are future of nation. Administering justice without hearing voice of oppressed children is next to impossible. The courts will hear voices of children from now onwards, he said this while addressing a ceremony here Saturday."I want to tell judges justice for children is how much important. All will have to work for the sake of future of children. The children voice will be heard from now onwards in the courts.He held the children and their parents should not be made pass through judicial process. The children are in more difficult situation in conflicts ridden countries .The children are not only our future but they are also our present. Children are not people of tomorrow but they are people of today also.He underlined when child appears in the court he is not given chance to talk. We only hear parents of the children in cases. Now it will not happen in future.Over two and half crore children are not going to school in the country. The tendency to beating and punishing children in schools exists too.He observed children should be made part of decision making process.He stated that establishment of children courts in the country is very important.
