ISLAMABAD:Supreme Court (SC) has extended bail of Jamshed Dasti in criminal proceedings case related to the matter of fake degree till November 16.
A two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad heard the case.
The court sent the matter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) for constitution of 3 -member bench.
During the hearing of the case Justice Malik Shahzad remarked it is decision of division bench of high court that a 3-member bench can hear this case.
The counsel Dil Muhammad Alizai said final order of high court has not come. It is interim order of high court.
Justice Malik Shahzad remarked according to you if interim order has come then you will have to go to high court. High court has rejected your petition. Punjab, Islamabad, Sindh and KP have filed report of cases against Jamshed Dasti.
Additional Attorney General told the court as per report filed by IG Punjab 6 cases are registered against Jamshed Dasti. 4 cases are registered in Islamabad. No case is on record in Sindh and KP.
Additional advocate general Balochistan has sought time to file record of cases.
Upon it the court directed to file report before next hearing.
