Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said friendly relations between Croatia and Pakistan are based on mutual respect, good will and shared interests.
Broad opportunities are there for cooperation between the two countries in trade, investment, information technology, agriculture, tourism, skilled man power and diverse areas and we should take advantage of them fully. PM observed. .
Dr. Gordan Grlic Radman, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad, Thursday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Foreign Secretary Amb. Amna Baloch were also present.
During the warm and cordial meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed the Croatian Foreign Minister and his delegation to Pakistan.
He stated that Pakistan enjoyed friendly relations with Croatia, marked by cordiality, mutual respect and shared interest. He expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly through enhanced trade and investment, information technology, connectivity, agriculture, tourism and skilled manpower.
While conveying his warm regards and good wishes to President Zoran Milanovic and Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, the Prime Minister extended a cordial invitation to both leaders to undertake official visits to Pakistan, at their kind convenience.
The Croatian Foreign Minister thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and said that he was honored to visit Islamabad and congratulated Pakistan and its leadership, on playing a prominent role in regional peace efforts.
He also expressed his Government’s desire to enhance Pakistan-Croatia ties in all areas of mutual interest.
He said his visit to Islamabad is a matter of pride for him.
Appreciating the role of Pakistan and its leadership for regional peace and stability he said his government wants to further expand ties with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.
