Deadlock persists between govt, SIC on chairmanship of PAC

ISLAMABAD: Deadlock persists between government and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) on the chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee (PAC).SIC is adamant on the name of Sheikh Waqas Akram. Government is insisting on providing panel containing four names.According to parliamentary sources the matter of chairmanship of PAC has not been resolved so far. The SIC had given name of Sheikh Waqas Akram during the meeting between PML-N chief whip Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Malik Aamir Dogar from SIC.Sources said government is adamant on its demand for providing panel of four names for chairmanship of PAC.
