Peshawar: The authorities have decided to hike fare of buses as the subsidy provided of Rs 4 billion could not curtail the fiscal loss.This enhancement has been approved in the meeting of Board of Governors. It will be take effect from July 01.According to government documents fare will be increased by Rs 10 per bus stop. The fare of the distance of 5 kilometer will be jacked up from Rs 20 to 30. The fare of 70 kilometer distance will be increased upto Rs 70.According to KP Urban Mobility Authority fare has been spiked in the face of rising inflation. Project is running into loss persistently and this increase was must to extricate it from financial loss.
