Lahore: Decision has been taken to implement biometric system in all the police stations in Punjab. Biometric verification in collaboration with NADRA has been declared compulsory in police stations. The entry of accused or plaintiff will stand impossible without biometric verification.Directives have been issued to activate biometric module in police station record management system. Availability of bio metric devices in all police stations within 7 days will be ensured.Police officers have been directed for ensuring inspection of devices stock immediately. The attendance of police men will be recorded through biometric system. This will lead to accelerate the process of identification of accused and citizens. IG Punjab office has issued directives for filing compliance report within 7 days.
