Islamabad: Decision has been taken in a meeting held under interior minister Mohsin Naqvi and state minister for interior Talal Chaudhry to install sewerage plants to secure Rawal dam water from filthy water of nullahs.
Different proposals for installing sewerage treatment plants on the nullahs falling into Rawal dam came under consideration in the meeting.
Mohsin Naqvi said supply of clean water to the citizens will become possible through sewerage treatment plants.
Qabza mafia and illegal constructions will be fully eliminated from Islamabad. Operation clean up will continue without any pressure till its logical conclusion.
Directives were issued for completing development work on new block of parliament lodges till June 30.
The upgradation plan in respect of Capital Police college was reviewed., New class rooms, mess and barracks for trainees will be built.
Progress on ongoing and new development projects in Islamabad was reviewed.
Detailed briefing was given to interior minister and state minister for interior on development projects.
It was told that designs have been filed by 3 international companies for construction of new convention centre. Evaluation process is underway. Legal norms are being fulfilled. Construction work on convention centre will be started in the last week of June.
Interior secretary, chairman CDA, IG Police Islamabad, deputy commissioner Islamabad and other officers attended the meeting.
