Islamabad: Decision has been taken to launch a 7-day anti-polio campaign in 115 specific districts in the country. Polio drops will be administered to 3 crore 10 lac children below 5 years from September 22 to 27.

The trained polio workers will administer polio drops to children at their door step.

The polio drops will be administered to one crore 6 lac children in 13 districts of Punjab, one crore children in 30 districts of Sindh. 73 lac children in 33 districts of KP. 23 lac children in 32 districts in Balochistan and 4 lac 47 thousands children in Islamabad.

Polio drops will be administered to 137000 children in 2 specific districts of Gilgit-Baltistan.

National Emergency Operation Centre has started making arrangements for special polio campaign.
