Islamabad: Decision has been taken to launch crackdown against foreign nationals staying illegally in order to make five districts including Islamabad, Rawalpindi safe zone
As per media reports decision has been taken for working out data of foreign nationals residing illegally , stopping issuance of mobile sims and banning sale of stamp papers for transaction and sale and purchase of property by them.
Special tasks have been assigned to deputy commissioners Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Murree and Haripur.
A meeting was held under Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa wherein decision was taken to initiate action against the foreign nationals residing illegally.
Chief Commissioner directed plan be evolved for stopping re- settlement of foreign nationals illegally residing in future. Their data be worked out wherein residential address and other details are recorded in respect of them .
Sharing of data will be made with FIA and NADRA to make 5 districts safe zones. Action will be taken against those who are residing in homes and hotels and are not registered as foreign tenants.
Foreign nationals will be allowed to stay with valid visa otherwise action will be initiated.
