Delegation of JI led by Hafiz Naeemur Rehman calls on PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami led by Emir JI Pakistan Hafiz Naeemur Rehman called on Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday. Jamaat-e-Islami delegation included Deputy Chiefs Liaqat Baloch, Mian Muhammad Aslm and JI Director Foreign Affairs Asif Luqman Qazi. From government side he meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Attaullah Tarar Advocate, Rana Mubashar Iqbal, Advisor to PM on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan and State Minister for Interior Muhammad Talal Chaudhry.

During the meeting, the delegation was given an in-camera briefing on the current regional situation involving Afghanistan, Iran, the Middle East and the Gulf.

The delegation was taken into confidence regarding Pakistan's diplomatic efforts and initiatives.

The Jamaat-e-Islami leadership was apprised of the steps taken by Pakistani embassies in Iran and Gulf countries to facilitate Pakistani citizens living abroad.
