Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear case against private housing society on June 3.
The respondents will appear and inform the court about the details
IHC has already barred housing society from receiving development charges.
Justice Raja Amin Inam Minhas had heard the case.
It is pertinent to mention here Parkview city was demanding development charges again from the residents. According to it development charges amounting to Rs 5 lac were levied to owners of 5 marla plot and Rs 10 lac to owners of 10 marla plots. These charges were to be doubled in the event of non payment till May 15.
Advocate high court and petitioner of this case Qasim Chatha has said people had purchased plots in 2018 and 2021. All the amount against these plots was paid at that time. No hidden charges were left unpaid. But levying development charges again after five years is wrong legally and constitutionally and are not correct as per CDA development by laws.
The court while nullifying the notification regarding development charges has stopped society from receiving charges besides summoning the respondents.
