Sringar: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has rejected the Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar's recent statement and termed it as an attempt mislead the world on Kashmir.

In a statement issued on Saturday, DFP Spokesman Advocate Arshad Iqbal said that such unfounded assertions cannot alter the stark realities on the ground, which fundamentally contradict the remarks made by the Indian Minister for External Affairs.

While terming Kashmir as internationally recognized disputed territory, he said, "The presence of nearly a million troops in Kashmir, coupled with ongoing violence, bloodshed, and human rights abuses, along with the plight of thousands of Kashmiris imprisoned in Indian jails, significantly undermines the Indian narrative, which is rooted in misinformation and falsehood.".

Terming India as a usurper, the PM said that India could no longer mislead the world through such political gimmicks. He said that lasting peace in region was not possible unless the lingering dispute was resolved in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiris and in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Referring to serious war crimes committed by the Indian occupation forces in Kashmir, the DFP spokesman said, "Indian leaders were trying to conceal war crimes by issuing such off the cuff statements that not only undermine the spirit of the UN resolutions but also make mockery of the Indian state abroad".
