Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has extended it's heartfelt condolences to the people of Iran on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, terming his assassination as a huge loss for Iran and the entire Muslim world.

In a condolence message the DFP Spokesman Advocate Arshad Iqbal said, "With his martyrdom the people of Kashmir have lost a great friend, a steadfast supporter and a strong proponent of their national cause".

Khamenei, he said, was a brave voice of the oppressed and a true friend of Kashmir and Palestine. "At this time of immense grief the people of Kashmir stand in solidarity with the people of Iran and express our deep sympathies with the Iranian nation", the spokesman said."May Allah Almighty grant patience and strength to the Iranian people to bear this irreparable loss", the message said.

The spokesman also expressed deep concern over the tragic loss of human lives during the missile attacks and the martyrdom of senior military officials. Describing the US-Israel attack on Iran as a flagrant violation of the international law, he said that no law permits any state to commit aggression against a sovereign country or target its head of state. "Such aggressive measures, taken under the pretext of the so-called security threat, are bound to destabilize global peace", he added.
