Rawalpindi: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said India is externalizing its internal problems by blaming Pakistan.During a briefing to foreign media in Rawalpindi on Friday, accompanied by representatives of the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy, he said Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory, but India is attempting to internalize the issue. The Director General of ISPR asserted that India has a history of targeting innocent people for political objectives, blaming Pakistan, and then covering up these actions by further killing innocent Kashmiris and Muslims while portraying them as terrorists. He pointed out that India blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident within minutes of its occurrence, without conducting any investigation. He also presented video clips featuring Indian citizens, Kashmiris, Indian officials, retired Indian military officers, and politicians, all describing the Pahalgam incident as a security failure on the part of the Indian government. He accused the Indian media of frequently fabricating stories to implicate Pakistan.Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry further said that India has suppressed independent media, banned thousands of X handles, and restricted access to social media platforms operating within Pakistan to ensure that the Indian public only hears the version presented by its own authorities. He said India is actively sponsoring terrorism within Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, and is also involved in transnational killings across the world, including in Canada. The Director General emphasized that Pakistan is the last bulwark state standing against the menace of terrorism not only on behalf of the people Pakistan but the people of the world. He said India intends to disrupt Pakistan's counterterrorism efforts, which could lead to regional destabilization.Meanwhile DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry says India is targeting innocent civilians and places of worship inside Paki stan, while in retaliation, Pakistan is only engaging those Indian military posts from which its civilians are being targeted.Speaking to TRT World News, he said that India targeted mosques and places of worship within Pakistan based on an outdated narrative of jihadi organizations allegedly operating in the country. The DG ISPR rejected Indian claims of downing Pakistani aircraft, capturing its pilots, or of Pakistan attacking targets inside India. He clarified that Pakistan is not launching drone or rocket attacks; rather, it is responding with small arms fire by targeting only the Indian military posts responsible. He emphasized that this is the 21st century, and every military action leaves behind an electronic signature. Therefore, if India had indeed captured Pakistani pilots or downed jets, there would be concrete evidence, but India has failed to provide any proof to substantiate its claims.Calling the claims fabricated, he said that the Indian media is spreading false and absurd stories. He as serted that Pakistan does not rely on Indian media to explain its actions; when Pakistan acts, the entire world will witness it.Responding to a question about blaming Pakistan for the Pahalgam attack, the DG ISPR said that India's practice of using terrorist incidents as a false pretext for domestic political gains must come to an end.He explained that this is why Pakistan logically offered an independent and neutral investigation into the incident, but India walked away from that.Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said India cannot be allowed to assume the role of judge, jury, and prosecutor in matters involving two sovereign nations.
