Attock: In line with the directives of the Government of Punjab, a ceremony for the distribution of Minority Cards among the minority community was held at District Council Hall, Attock. The chief guest of the event was Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) ticket holder Malik Hameed Akbar Khan. The ceremony was also attended by PML-N District President Saleem Shehzad, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning) Nosheen Asrar, and other relevant officials. While addressing the participants, ADC Finance Nosheen Asrar informed them that, under the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a Minority Card Program has been launched for the welfare of the minority community. Under this initiative, financial assistance of Rs. 10,500 will be provided to 50,000 deserving families across the province on a **quarterly basis through the Bank of Punjab. In Attock district, 550 deserving minority familieswill receive the Minority Card. In the initial phase, 250 familieswill be issued t hese cards. Speaking at the event, Malik Hameed Akbar stated that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken revolutionary steps for the welfare of minorities, which is a remarkable achievement. He added that the issuance of this card will help safeguard the rights of minorities, setting an exemplary precedent.
