Karachi: On the invitation of the Pakistanis and other Muslim communities living in the UK, Global Aafia Movement Chairperson Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui is presently on a visit to the UK.

During this visit Dr. Fowzia is also focusing to gain more support for the release and repatriation of her sister Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

As per the information received to the Media Cell of Aafia Movement, Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui addressed different gatherings at London, Slough, Berkshire, Croydon and Leicester.

She briefed the audiences of these gatherings about the development of Dr. Aafia case in the US court.

She appealed to the supporters living in the UK to actively participate in an online petition for the release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. This online petition is available at the website of Aafia Movement.

In this online plea, it is appealed to Field Marshal General Asim Munir to use his good office for the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

During the UK visit, Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui is receiving a warm welcome at every city being visited.

Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui has been running a rigorous movement for the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui since 2003. This year Dr. Fowzia observed her 60th birthday on September 14 in the UK.
