Islamabad: Dr Mahrang Baloch has filed bail petition in Supreme Court (SC). she has taken the plea that bail plea petition be approved and she be released on bail. Balochistan High Court (BHC) decision be declared null and void. BHC rejected her bail plea on February 23, 2026.

Case against Dr Mahrang Baloch is registered in police station CTD Quetta under terrorism clauses. The clauses under which the case is registered are bailable. High court ignored the set principles of law in the matter of bail.

Dr Mahrang Baloch is facing charges of violation of 4th schedule and facilitation of proscribed outfit. The allegations are vague and of general nature. No mention is made of any special criminal activity.

Dr Mahrang Baloch is woman. As per law she is entitled to special relief and bail. She is arrested since August 21, 2025.
