Draft bill of 27th constitutional amendment likely to be presented in Senate today, approval likely on November 14

Islamabad: Draft bill of 27th constitutional amendment is likely to be presented in the Senate today (Friday).

Well placed sources said this amendment will prove vital phase with reference to possible amendments in constitutional structure of Pakistan.

As per sources law minister Azam Nazir Tarar will present the draft bill of 27th constitutional amendment in the Senate today (Friday).

Initially the draft bill be forwarded to standing committee on law and justice for further deliberation.

According to sources the standing committee under Farooq H Naik will hold its meetings on Saturday and Sunday as well to mull over the points related to amendment in details.

Committee will present its comprehensive report in Senate on Monday.

The sources further said 27th constitutional amendment will be introduced in National Assembly (NA) on Monday.

The 27th constitutional amendment is likely to be approved on November 14 formally following debate and yes nod in NA.
