Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered for stopping direct delivery of goods to the students in all educational institutions.

IHC gave these orders during hearing of prevention of drugs case here Monday.

The petition seeking court's orders for prevention of drugs in educational institutions and inclusion of this subject in syllabus for awareness came up for hearing Monday. .

Justice Inam Amin Minhas of IHC heard the petition.

The court ordered for stopping direct deliveries to the students. Take action against the school or college which does not implement it. Has National Anti Narcotics Council (NANC) been constituted or otherwise.

Report was sought from secretary cabinet.

Justice Inam Amin Minhas inquired why NANC has not been constituted. This is very high powered council. Prime Minister (PM) is its head and chief ministers from all four provinces are included in it. Do you know how narcotics enter into schools and colleges.

Justice Inam Amin Minhas remarked drugs reach schools and colleges through courier or delivery walas.

He further remarked " check it and tell the court what deliveries come in which schools and colleges. Students order for pizzas and they order to get drugs as well. Ban has to be imposed on all delivery walas who make delivery direct.

Justice Inam Amin Minhas remarked you should file report about its implementation on next date.

Check it direct deliveries are being made in which schools and colleges frequently. Take action against the school and college which don't implement it.

The court adjourned further hearing of the case till May 28.
