Islamabad: Election Commission (EC) has adjourned hearing of contempt of EC case against PTI founder Imran Khan and former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry till October 9.A 4-member bench of EC presided over by member Sindh Nisar Durrani took up the case for hearing Thursday.Faisal Chaudhry counsel for Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry appeared before EC.During the hearing of the case counsel Faisal Chaudhry told the commission you had ordered for video link in case against Imran Khan.Member commission remarked upon it that we had ordered attendance through video link from jail. Has it made any effect or otherwise and why Jail authorities have not given reply. Ask from them.Member commission further said if they cannot provide facility of video link then we call the answerable from jail.Fawad Chaudhry said every thing will become OK if you threaten to call Imran Khan from jail.Member commission remarked if nothing is done then we move to jail for hearing.Fawad Chaudhry said why you should go th ere, Call him here.Later the commission adjourned hearing of the case till October 9.It is pertinent to mention here in August 2022, EC had issued contempt of EC notice to Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhery for leveling allegations in different public meetings, press conferences and several interviews besides issuing contempt of chief election commissioner notice to Imran Khan.
