Islamabad: Election Commission (EC) has adjourned till October 22 hearing of PTI intra party election case. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali had requested for adjournment of the hearing of the case on the plea the record is in the custody of FIA.A four members commission of EC led by member Sindh Nisar Durrani took up PTI Intra party election case for hearing Wednesday.PTI chairman Barrister Gohar appeared in EC.He told the EC our all record is with FIA. All the record related to the matter of as to why nomination papers of Navid Anjum were rejected is also included in the record lying with FIA. Digital record is also available and we have filed application for obtaining record from FIA.Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said our all record is with FIA and they have taken away this record from PTI central office. We had requested EC that FIA be directed to return the record. However EC has said that we should resort to courts in this regard. We have approached court too for return of record from FIA. It is hoped record will be returned before next hearing and we will present it.The EC adjourned the hearing of the case till October 22.Later talking to media men outside EC , Barrister Gohar said PTI intra party election case was fixed for hearing. We had held party election as per the directives issued by EC to us. The record of these elections is available with us in digital form. However FIA took away all our record from our central office.He held court had sent notice to FIA and it is hoped the record will be returned to us. We will provide record if it is returned to us.It is hoped case will be decided on October 22.
