Islamabad: Election Commission (EC) has challenged September 14 clarification of majority judges of Supreme Court (SC) in connection with reserved seats.EC has requested SC to review its September 14 clarification.The EC has taken plea in review petition that EC is not responsible for delay in SC decision. Petition was filed on July 25 in connection with clarification of July 12 decision. SC issued order of clarification on September 14.According to petitioner court did not issue notice to EC on PTI documents. The court did not seek reply from EC on PTI documents.Parliaments has enacted legislation after the petition by EC for clarification..The EC requested SC should review September 14 clarification.EC has attached clarification of learned judges and other documents with the petition.The EC has requested SC to make decision after seeing detailed decision of the court and the prevailing situation.EC has said that it has reviewed the entire matter minutely and it has reached this conclusi on after consultation with legal and constitutional experts that court should guide EC on this clarification with reference to this case.
