Islamabad: Election Commission (EC) has established 8 election tribunals in Punjab in connection with general and by elections.According to notification issued by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) serving and retired judges have been appointed in tribunals. Tribunals will deal with election petitions regarding national and provincial assemblies.Retired judges Rana Zahid Mehmood, Zafar Iqbal, Abdul Shakoor Paracha and Mehmood Maqbool Bajwar and serving judges of Lahore High Court Justice Sultan Tanvir Ahmad, Muhammad Iqbal, Chaudhry Anwar Hussain and Justice Sarfaraz Dogar are included in election tribunals.According to notification these tribunals have been set up for Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi.
