Faisalabad: An eight-year-old boy lost his life after falling into an open sewer drain in Faisalabad's Ghulam Muhammad Abad area, Rescue 1122 officials said.

According to Rescue 1122, an emergency call was received reporting that a child had fallen into a sewer drain near Dogar Chowk. Rescue teams rushed to the scene and immediately launched a search operation.

Initial reports said Muhammad Suhail, son of Muhammad Mohsin and a resident of Sidhu Pura, was playing near the drain when he accidentally slipped and fell into the drain and drowned.

Rescue personnel carried out the search operation and recovered the child's body from the drain. After completing the necessary legal formalities, the body was shifted to General Hospital Ghulam Muhammad Abad.
