ISLAMABAD:Emergency has been imposed in Railway under the directives of railway minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and 3 months leave of field officers have been cancelled.
Travelling by rail has been made mandatory for railway officers to visit other cities in connection with official work.
Emergency has been imposed to ensure safe train operation.
3 months leave of all field officers have been cancelled.
Directives have been issued to officers to monitor train operations in field on Sunday.
Civil and mechanical chief engineers will send report related to their work daily to ministry. Report on daily basis has been summoned from safety head.
Emergency will remain in place till December 31.
