Equivalence fee for Palestinian students exempted: IBCC Announced

Islamabad: The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has announced to exempt equivalence fee for Palestinian students. This decision has been taken in view of the severe humanitarian crisis in Palestine and the intense economic difficulties faced by families there.

According to the IBCC spokesperson, Pakistan has always expressed solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people, and facilitating the education of their children is our moral responsibility. The primary purpose of this fee exemption is to provide immediate relief to Palestinian students studying in Pakistan and to ensure the continuity of their educational activities.

IBCC Executive Director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah said that, on the special instructions of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, this exemption in the equivalence fee has been granted to Palestinian students so that access to higher education may become easier for them. He added that the Ministry of Education has issued special directives to resolve the issues faced by Palestinian children.

Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah stated that in difficult circumstances, education is the only means that strengthens young people and leads them toward a better future. He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to provide all possible educational support to Palestinian students even in the most challenging times.

According to IBCC, providing maximum facilitation to Palestinian students reflects Pakistan's principled stance and commitment to humanitarian values.
