Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Islamabad Model jail and under construction hostel in National Police Academy.
He reviewed progress in construction work in regard to model jail and under construction hostel. He inspected barracks. He expressed satisfaction over pace and standard of construction work.
He said establishment of modern model jail in Islamabad is must in view of security. Installation of modern infrastructure in National police academy will further raise the standard of police training.
Best living facilities will be provided to police officers following completion of hostel.
Timely completion of this project is priority of government.
He directed work in double shift be continued to complete remaining work.
Detailed briefing was given to interior minister on progress in construction work.
It was said in the briefing that jail construction project was started in 2011 and it remained suspended for several years.
Interior minister was told during the briefing 85 percent work in respect of phase one of the jail project has been completed. Digital monitoring and central control room will also be set up.
Ali Nasir Rizvi, Muhammad Ali Randhawa , Dr Usman Anwar and others were also present on the occasion.
