ET LHC summons arguments on petition filed against success of Nawaz Sharif from NA-130

LAHORE: Election Tribunal (ET) Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought arguments on the petition filed against success of Nawaz Sharif from NA-130 in general election.Judge Anwar Hussain of ET LHC took up for hearing the petition filed by rival candidate Dr Yasmin Rashid against success of Nawaz Sharif from NA-130 in general election Thursday.ET inquired during the hearing of the petition have notice been issued in this petition.The counsel for petitioner replied no, notice have not been issued in this matter.Later the ET while summoning arguments on maintainability of petition against success of Nawaz Sharif from NA-130 adjourned the proceedings till first week of September.It is pertinent to mention here Dr Yasmin Rashid candidate of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) from NA-130 has challenged success of Nawaz Sharif .She has taken plea in her petition that Nawaz Sharif has been declared successful from NA-130 through rigging. According to form 45 Nawaz Sharif was defeated in the election. But he was made win the election through form 47.She requested the tribunal to declare null and void Nawaz Sharif success from NA-130.
