Srinagar: In a shocking incident highlighting the deepening atmosphere of fear and suspicion in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police have arrested two doctors, claiming to have recovered an AK-47 rifle from the locker of a senior resident doctor at Government Medical College (GMC) Islamabad.

The detained doctors, residents of Qazigund and Pulwama, were taken into custody following an operation launched by Indian police at the medical college. A case was registered against them under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Arms Act, further tightening the noose on professionals in the occupied territory.

The arrests have sparked widespread concern among medical professionals, who say such actions have created an atmosphere of intimidation where even doctors are not spared from arbitrary detentions under fabricated charges.
