Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has remarked during hearing of petition against interest system and IMF agreements that every officer takes oath and even then bribe is taken .

The petition was heard by PHC bench comprising Justice Ejaz Anwar and Justice Kamran Miankhel Thursday.

The petitioner took the plea president and Prime Minister (PM) are violating their oath. Government signed agreements with IMF on the condition of interest.

Justice Ejaz Anwar remarked high court 's power of jurisdiction is limited. Every officer takes oath and even then bribe is taken. Bribe has to be given for every work here. You should tell how you have been affected.

The petitioner said usury system has been imposed on the entire nation. You people too are affected.

Assistant Attorney General (AAG) Fasih Ullah told the court the petitioner had filed such petition earlier too. The court has wrapped it up.

Federal government has said interest system will be eliminated in 2028.

Justice Kamran Miankhel remarked you should file this petition in supreme court.

The court wrapped up the petition.
