Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar said that Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, who was part of the flotilla, has been freed; his health is good and his spirits are high.

Senator Mushtaq Ahmad has been released from Israeli custody. According to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad, who was part of the Global Flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, had been detained by Israel but has now been released and is currently in Jordan. Ishaq Dar expressed gratitude to friendly countries for their cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, adding that Mushtaq Ahmad is presently at the Pakistani embassy in Jordan.

In his statement on X, Ishaq Dar said, 'I am pleased to confirm that former Senator Mushtaq has been released and is now safely with Pakistan Embassy in Amman. He is in good health and high spirits. The Embassy stands ready to facilitate his return to Pakistan, in accordance with his wishes and convenience. Am pleased to extend our gratitude to all our friendly countries who actively engaged and assisted in this behalf to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.'

In his video statement, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad said that the resistance will continue from Adiala Jail to Israeli prison. He stated that our struggle will go on until the liberation of Palestine. 'I will soon return to Pakistan and inform the nation about all the details,' he added.

In a video message posted on his X account, Mushtaq Ahmad said, 'I, along with 150 of my companions, have reached Jordan. After spending 5 to 6 days in Israel's notorious prison, we have finally been released.' He said that they were subjected to severe torture in the Israeli jail - their hands were handcuffed, their feet shackled, and chains were placed on them, while blindfolds were tied over their eyes. 'Dogs were set upon us and guns were pointed at us,' he said.

He further stated, 'We went on a hunger strike for three days to demand our rights, but we were deprived of drinking water, air, and medical facilities even we were denied access to anything at all.'

The former Jamaat-e-Islami senator said, 'Alhamdulillah, we have been released, but the struggle for Palestine's freedom will continue. We will break this blockade and will go again and again for that purpose. We will try to save Gaza and bring the perpetrators of this genocide to justice.'

He added that the resistance will continue from Adiala Jail to Israeli prisons and that the struggle for Palestine's freedom will go on. 'I will come to Pakistan soon and give a full account of the Global Samood Flotilla and the Israeli prisons. Our struggle will continue until the end of Israel.'
