Swabi: One excise inspector has been killed and four sepoys were injured when vehicle of Excise department met an accident on Peshawar - Islamabad motorway.

Excise inspector Uzair Muhammad died on the spot while other four sepoys travelling in the vehicle were critically injured.

On information medical team of RESCUE-1122 rushed to the scene and provided first aid to the injured persons.

The injured were shifted to Bacha Khan medical complex in critical condition.

Injured spoys Qamar Zaman 32 , Mansoor 29 , Salar 19 and Muhammad Ejaz 23 belong to Bajaur, Kirik.

Inspector Uzair who was killed in the accident was 39 years old and he was resident of district Bajaur.

Investigations have been started to ascertain causes leading to accident.
