Islamabad: A report released by the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) has revealed that only 24 out of 95 Senators, representing 25 percent of the House, attended all eight sittings of the 361st Senate session held between May 7 and May 21, 2026.
According to the report, 10 Senators, accounting for 11 percent of the membership, did not attend any sitting during the session.
The third sitting recorded the highest attendance, with 66 Senators present, representing 69 percent of the current membership. In contrast, the eighth sitting witnessed the lowest attendance, with only 47 Senators present, amounting to 49 percent of the House.
The report noted that 71 Senators, or 74 percent of the membership, missed at least one sitting during the session.
Among cabinet members, one state minister attended six sittings, while three federal ministers did not attend any sitting. The Leader of the House attended only one sitting, whereas the Leader of the Opposition attended seven sittings.
FAFEN stated that detailed attendance records of individual Senators are available in its comprehensive attendance report.
