Faisalabad: In a remarkable display of honesty, a female sanitation worker in Faisalabad returned Rs 900,000 that she found while cleaning, setting an inspiring example for society.

Nusrat Bibi, an employee of the ‘Suthra Punjab’ cleanliness project, discovered a packet filled with cash while sweeping in the Nigehban Pura area. She immediately informed her supervisor, after which the amount was handed over to its rightful owner.

According to Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Nadeem Nasir, the district administration has decided to award Nusrat Bibi Rs 300,000, a certificate of appreciation, and a job for her son in the district administration in recognition of her honesty.

Nusrat Bibi, a mother of five, said she has always earned an honest livelihood, and this recognition is the greatest honor of her life.
