Islamabad: Acquittal plea of PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan has been rejected in Faizabad protest case.

The case against PTI leaders for staging protest in Faizabad following the disqualification of PTI founder came up for hearing in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad Monday.

Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra of ATC heard the case

During the hearing of the case Amir Mehmood Kiyani, Rashid Hafeez, Jamshed Mughal and other accused appeared in the court.

Exemption from attendance pleas were filed on behalf of Faisal Javed Khan, Haider Bin Masood and Raja Majid.

Ilyas Siddiqui, Sardar Masroof Khan advocate, Zahid Bashir Dar and other lawyers appeared from the side of accused.

During the hearing of the case the acquittal plea filed by PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan was turned down.

Two witnesses were presented by the prosecution in the court and their statements were recorded.

The court directed if defence is needed then the witnesses can be cross questioned on next hearing.

Chief Minister (CM) KP Ali Amin Gandapur did not appear in the court Monday.

Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra remarked we issue previous orders again.

When Amir Mehmood Kiyani appeared in the court during the hearing of the case, Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra while addressing him remarked Amir Kiyani Sahb you go away from the court. You are proclaimed offender. If police hear it you will be arrested.

The learned judge further said Amir Kiyani has been declared proclaimed offender for three times.

Amir Kiyani said it is my mistake that I coudl not appear in the court. I admit it.

The judge directed him to bring application. Then court will consider it.

The court adjourned hearing of the case till July 31.
