Rawalpindi: The father of student Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh Yousuf studying under Alkhidmat Foundation in Pakistan has been martyred in Gaza. The funeral prayer in absentia of the martyred was offered at the lawn of Alkhidmat Gaza Hostel.President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Director Alkhidmat Palestinian Education Scholarship Program Dr. Saad Zafar, Colonel (retd) Saifur Rehman, Rizwan Ahmed, Altaf Sher, Syed Arif Shirazi, Zubair Safdar, Palestinian and Pakistani students and a large number of common people attended the funeral prayer to express solidarity with their brother and people of Gaza and Palestine and also expressed sympathies with Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh Yousuf.On the occasion President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that the martyrdom of Dr. Ahmed's father is regrettable; however the patience and steadfastness of his son Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh Yousuf and other heirs is worth following. He said that Pakistani nation is grieved at the mart yrdoms of the Palestinian Muslims, adding that we are continuing efforts to heal the wounds of the Palestinians through Alkhidamt Foundation Pakistan. He said that the sons and daughters of Al-Quds present in Pakistan is a matter of pride for us, adding that we are thankful that these male and female students have accepted our hosting.Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that Alkhidmat Foundation with the support of its partner institutions and Pakistani nation will continue the efforts to complete the incomplete education of the Palestinian students of Gaza. He said that in next phase, Alkhidmat Foundation will bring injured and ailing Palestinians (especially cancer patients) to Pakistan and will treat them and host them.
