Islamabad: Prime Minister and federal cabinet have approved Supreme Court Amendment Practice and Procedure Ordinance.According to sources federal cabinet accorded approval to draft bill through summary circulation.Practice and Procedure Amendment Ordinance 2024 is likely to be approved by president soon.Following the implementation of amendment ordinance 2024 whatever proceedings of the judiciary is, its draft will be prepared and proceedings of the judiciary will be available for the people.Supreme Court Practice and Procedure amendment ordinance is aimed at bringing more transparency in court's process.A committee was constituted under Practice and Procedure act-2023. Improvement is being brought in the committee to ensure hearing of the cases on merit and their disposal.Under new amendment ordinance, Chief Justice can nominate any learned judge member of committee in case of non availability of some member.
