Islamabad: Government employees has staged sit-in at cabinet block chowk constitution avenue in support of their demands.

The employees in large number reached in front of cabinet block while voicing protest..

Police stopped the protest rally from going outside parliament house. All the avenues leading to parliament house were shut with erecting barbed wires.

The employees wanted to take rally to parliament house after holding protest outside ministry of finance.

Rehman Bajwa chief organizer of All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) demanded in charter of demand that divergences in the salaries of federal government employees be abolished. Upgradation along with perks of all federal government employees be made on the pattern of provincial government employees.

They demanded leave encashment and pension reforms in respect of federal government employees be withdrawn. Tax imposed on the salaries in the budget for fiscal year 2024-25 be withdrawn.

The protection of service be ensured for employees during privatization of entities.

Job be given to the children of employees who pass away during service tenure as per Supreme Court order.

The tyrannical pension reforms be taken back forthwith.

Later the employees leader announced to end the protest saying the protest dharna will be held outside parliament house on February 10 .

Employees from across the country will reach parliament house on February 10.
