Islamabad: Federal Ombudsperson against Harassment Fauzia Waqar has dismissed head of Wafaqi Urdu University for Science and Technology (FUUAST) department for harassing at workplace.Federal ombudsperson has given historical decision in Urooj Malik versus Dr Hafiz Ishaq case. She dismissed the accused and imposed fine of Rs 10 lac. Rs 8 lac will be paid to complainant and Rs 2 lac to state treasury.Urooj Malik lecturer FUUAST lodged complaint against Dr Hafiz Ishaq head of business administration department where in matter of sexual harassment for several years was referred. The harassment continued despite the effort for addressing this matter informally.FOSPAH found Dr Ishaq involved in harassment case under act 2010.Urdu university has been directed to implement these fines and present compliance report till December 5,2024.
