Federation, interior secretary put on notice in payment of compensation to affectees of Islamabad Kutchery suicide bombing case


Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while adjourning the hearing of payment of compensation to affectees of Islamabad Kutchery suicide bombing case till January 23 has issued notices to federation and interior secretary and sought reply from them



Advocate General (AG) Islamabad has assured the court he will check and get resolve this matter as soon as possible.



The counsel for the petitioner said more than one year has passed in Kutchery tragedy but compensation has not been paid to the affectees.



AG said we will check this matter and will get resolve it as soon as possible. Court should give time



The IHC directed AG Islamabad and Deputy Attorney General to get resolve the matter of payment of compensation to affectees of Islamabad Kutchery suicide bombing .



Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir took up for hearing petition filed by Asif Gujjar advocate.



Barrister Tassadaq Hanif appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner and said that grade-18 Shuhada package should be given under section 13 lawyers protection act. Kutchery tragedy had occurred more than one year before but compensation could not be paid to the affectees.



AG Islamabad Navid Hayat Malik appeared on being summoned by the court and he requested the court to give time.



Upon it the court issued notice to respondents , federation and interior secretary, chief commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.



The court adjourned hearing of the case till June 23.
