Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir along with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi departed for Islamic Republic of Iran as part of Pakistan's efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is accompanying Field Marshal Munir during the visit. The Pakistani delegation is scheduled to hold meetings with senior Iranian officials.
ISPR said the visit is part of Pakistan's continued efforts to promote peace and stability in the region. Pakistan, it added, remains committed to achieving lasting peace and stability in the Middle East and resolving regional disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
