Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with a visiting delegation of Icoin Technology Inc., led by CEO Mr. Chet Silvestri, to discuss Pakistan's emerging digital asset framework.

The Finance Minister briefed the delegation on efforts to establish a structured and responsible regulatory environment, including the formation of the Pakistan Crypto Council and the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA). He highlighted Pakistan's growing participation in global digital asset activity and emphasized the importance of regulation for transparency, financial inclusion, and consumer protection.

The delegation shared insights from the US and Canadian markets and discussed the potential of blockchain technology and stablecoins to modernize financial systems. Discussions also covered global partnerships and opportunities for collaboration in Pakistan.

Both sides agreed to continue engagement and explore cooperation to support Pakistan's development of a transparent, inclusive, and well-regulated digital asset market.
