Finance Minister: Saudi Arabia Committed to $10 Billion Investment in Pakistan

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has stated that Saudi Arabia remains committed to investing $10 billion in Pakistan. In an interview with Arab News, he said Saudi Arabia is fully prepared, willing, and capable from their side, and now it is up to Pakistan to present viable investment projects.

The minister added that the long-awaited financial agreement for the Reko Diq project is now close to completion. The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is leading the consortium, which has arranged nearly $3.5 billion, with only the final lender's approval pending. Following the end of the US government shutdown, participation from EXIM Bank is also expected soon.

Apart from Reko Diq, Minister Aurangzeb noted that Pakistan is in discussions with the United States and other partners on major minerals, and progress is being made on these initiatives.
