Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested former law minister Punjab and PTI leader Muhammad Basharat Raja and shifted him to New Town police station.

Raja Basharat appeared in Election Tribunal along with his counsel Sardar Abdul Razaq Khan in connection with hearing of election petition.

As soon as he came out of tribunal the police besieged his vehicle.

Police arrested him and shifted him to New Town police station Islamabad.

Raja Basharat said his bail is confirmed in all cases. He is not worried over such malicious tactics.

His counsel Sardar Abdul Razzaq said Raja Basharat is on bail in all cases. We showed all bail papers but police arrested him. Police team said they have been ordered to arrest Raja Basharat. Whatever you have to say, you should say it to the officers in police station New Town.
