Lahore: Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the alleged rape of two sisters in Lahore's Sundar area, while one accused remains at large.
According to police sources, five men allegedly assaulted the two sisters before fleeing the scene. Following a complaint lodged by the victims' mother, a case was registered against five accused identified as Qasim, Umair Jatt, Ali Akbar Wattoo, Zia-ur-Rehman, and Ahmed Raza.
Police said four of the nominated suspects have been taken into custody and investigations are currently under way. The victims have been shifted to a hospital for medical examination, and further legal proceedings will proceed upon receipt of the medical reports. Raids are ongoing to arrest the remaining suspect.
Police reiterated their commitment to ensuring justice and said all available resources are being utilized to complete the investigation at the earliest.
