Islamabad: State minister for interior Talal Chaudhry has said murder of a trader in Islamabad is a sorrowful incident and gang has been arrested.
Addressing a press conference with IG Islamabad Talal Chaudhry said a tragic incident took place in Islamabad and murder of a business personality Amir Shehzad is a sorrowful incident. He was murdered during robbery.
He said that foreign diplomats and other key figures are residing in Islamabad. The law and order situation here is better. We are going to build first smart city of Pakistan here.
Mansoor Khan gang has been arrested which belongs to KP.
All the accused have been arrested within 24 hours. One Afghan national is also part of gang.
He said Mansoor Khan gang committed crimes by wearing bullet proof jacket. This gang is inter-provincial gang which is involved in crimes in Islamabad, Punjab and KP.
IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi has said the remaining 4 accomplices of gang have been arrested from Mardan. This was a test case and capacity potential of Islamabad police was assessed therein.
He said 137 phone calls were reviewed after the incident. 93 people were investigated. 31 raids were conducted to arrest gang.
Raids were conducted in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Charsada and Mardan. Mansoor Khan gang was a five members gang. All the five have been arrested. They were wanted by Islamabad police in different cases.
