Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has been informed that government will incur expenses in respect of the delegation which is going to US in connection with Dr Aafia Siddiqui case.The court was further told that application has been moved by Foreign ministry for visas.Additional Attorney General (AAG) told the court Monday that Prime Minister (PM) has approved the expenses in respect of the delegation which is going to US.The petition regarding release and return of Dr Aafia Siddiqui to Pakistan came up for hearing in IHC Monday.Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan took up the case for hearing.Imran Shafiq counsel for Dr Fouzia Siddiqui and amicus curiae Zaina Janjua appeared in the court.AAG said in the court PM has accorded approval to the expenses in respect of the delegation going to US in regard to Dr Aafia Siddiqui case.Representative of ministry of foreign affairs said foreign ministry has sent application in connection with visas of delegation. It will be approved within a week.Representative of foreign ministry said in a statement that we are extending every possible help to Dr Fouzia Siddiqui.AAG said he cannot go along with Senator Irfan Siddiqui due to personal reasons.The court adjourned hearing of the case till January 13.
