Govt corrupt, incompetent to extent it can’t control traffic: Monem Zafar Khan

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar Khan has strongly condemned the Pakistan People Party government in Sindh over it's failure to regulate heavy traffic as another tragedy claimed lives of two young siblings in Karachi.Monem Zafar Khan expressed these views while talking to the media after funeral prayers for the brother and sister killed by a heavy vehicle. He said that the PPP government in Sindh was so corrupt and incompetent to an extent that it failed to regulate traffic in the mega city.Monem Zafar Khan said that the lives of Karachiites had been put on the mercy of tankers, dumpers and other heavy vehicles.Instead of arresting the genuine culprits, the police took into custody innocent people in order to avoid public pressure, he said and demanded the government to release all the innocent people.On the occasion, the JI leader demanded the government to pay the compensation amount to the victim family. He made it clear that money can't be a substitute or compensation for a human life but it could reduce the miseries of affected families.He also demanded the authorities to ensure that traffic rules and regulations particularly timings for the heavy traffic was followed.He said that the government claimed to install but no outcome was surfaced. However, he added, the government used full force against bikers.
